A couple of thoughts:
The current commuter rings of major metro areas will double in size as people will trade longer but 100% productive commutes for cheaper real estate.
An increased need for parking in major cities. I like the idea of sending the car home, but there is a certain practicality in having your car readily available nearby. Maybe...
